I was wondering if anyone here might have some firsthand insight regarding the cosmetic procedures performed at the Mayo Clinic—specifically concerning the overall quality of care, the reputation of the surgeons, and what the typical price points look like. Additionally, I’m curious if standard health insurance or any supplemental coverage plans tend to pick up even a small portion of those costs.

I would like to build upon this particular question; in the event that one undergoes surgery to correct a nasal septum, does anyone happen to know if it is possible to "add on" a corrective procedure performed by a plastic surgeon at the same time? Thank you!

A buddy of mine was asked during his septoplasty if he wanted any cosmetic tweaks done to his nose at the same time, but he turned them down; I suppose that means nothing extra happens even if they do offer it 🤷

It wasn't exactly cosmetic surgery for me, but I had a fibroadenoma removed through their plastic surgery department.
The scar is practically nonexistent. They used some kind of internal stitching technique; at first, it just looked like a tiny scratch, but now you can't even tell anything happened.
If that’s any indication of their skill, I am beyond satisfied with the "cosmetic" results.

My GP suggested I go there because, being young, I didn't want a visible scar on the side of my breast showing when I'm in a swimsuit.
But let's be clear: nothing was actually changed cosmetically. They just made sure the scar was invisible—and they are certainly good at that.

My mom had a deviated septum in her right nostril and they ended up doing the cosmetic part for her too (she agreed to it) without any extra charge.
