I mean, you really have to give it to the Canadians, they managed to swing a -10 to -3 deficit in just 11 minutes 🙏

You have to give it to the Canadians. Going from -10 to -3 in just eleven minutes? How do they do that? 🙏

Listen. They had plenty of penalty kicks, and the refs tossed the Czechs out four times.

It’s going to go down just like this—the Russians are going to tear through the Danes or the Icelanders, doesn't even matter which... I'm calling it now.

Robert Cruz5 said:Give me a break, Noka? For him, Lino is the professor, period. Those Canadian players don't have a clue. He took one minute of downtime and told them exactly what I would’ve said: "Stop running around like headless chickens, then you look at each other wondering why we haven't scored three goals yet. Let's do what we agreed on." And that's exactly what happened—they went out and played even worse for the rest of the half. People have been dragging Cervar for years, but it's really just pure American jealousy. Look, he isn't perfect, but he's easily the best American coach we've ever had. He's won everything; the only thing left is European gold. But hey, you can't have everything in life. If our guys played like those Canadians, little Lino would be getting hung by his tail in Times Square. Someone mentioned yesterday that you can see the hand of a real coach in how the Canadians play. Well, you can see it alright. Even kids don't play handball this well. Meanwhile, some "experts" here who think they know everything about handball are just regurgitating crap they read in Sports News and scribbling tiny notes on scraps of paper just so they can read them while typing their posts on this forum. I had a good laugh at that guy who actually plays handball seriously and is now dissecting stories about goalkeepers being flyers when they're really just readers. Seriously, give me a break.............

Well, you can stop laughing now; the guy was right.

By the way, it's not Noka or Cervar playing on the court; it's the actual players. It isn't the coach's fault if the players can't sink a simple shot, and it's not the coach's credit if he has a genius on the team without whom he wouldn't even make it past the first round.

Score is 37 to 35, Americans. What does a coach even have to do with player talent when you’re getting shelled for 37 goals by a bunch of Czechs? And honestly, I don't care where Noka was in Chicago—so what? Even if he’s talking about the TO period now, he’s just talking nonsense. He set up this game like a joke; the offense is chaotic and the defense is even worse. Just a joke. I think we should immediately put that expert from Chicago in charge of the selection committee. Maybe then, while we're in Austria, we can finally go grab that European gold. And you—you should fly in from the States to be his lead advisor. Because once someone lets in 40 goals, he’ll probably take three minutes to realize, "Hey, no waiting around," make a quick deal, and pull the trigger. Truly genius stuff.

Yeah,

The games the day after tomorrow are:
Poland vs. Czechia
France vs. Canada

They'll probably clinch their spots then 🙄

Besides, neither person nor person are even on the court right now—it’s just some guys who look more like handball players than anything else. It isn't the coach's fault if his players can't sink an easy layup or whatever, and it's certainly not his credit if he happens to have one absolute genius on the roster without whom they wouldn't even make it past the first quarter.

Oh, so according to this logic, the coach bears zero responsibility for the outcome, right? I mean, what's the point of having national team head coaches at all then? 😉They just show up with a bunch of finished products and expect them to perform, is that the deal?

🙂The defense is on the coach, and honestly, the offense falls partially on him too. That Canadian defense was leaking points everywhere, and that's something that weighs on person's soul just as much as it does the players'.

And honestly, I don't care where that person was back in Kiel—so what? Even if he’s talking about the World Championships now, he’s just talking nonsense. He set up this team like a complete joke; the offense is pure chaos and the defense is even worse. A total joke. In my opinion, we should immediately put that "expert" from Kiel into a political office over in Austria, maybe they can finally snag some European gold. And you? Going from +10 to -2... you actually have to know something to pull that off...

I don't recall seeing that person manage anything like that in the last few years...☕

If you don't know the basics of handball, don't go acting like you do out in the open...

That guy is spouting nonsense at the World Championships, while the other guy is supposedly a "genius" because he says things that actually make sense...

The guy doesn't even know how to call a timeout when it actually matters...☕

So much for the genius...

If we manage to knock out the French and the Spaniards, and then if the Polish people take down the French, we're looking at a semifinal matchup. Honestly, I find that almost impossible to imagine.

Look, let's not get bogged down in a debate about this right now. If a coach sets up a solid game plan and the players actually execute their jobs, that's what matters.

Some teams have Balica out there leading them, while others are stuck with Sebastian Skube.

Once you see that difference, it’s pretty obvious which coach has the upper hand.

Honestly, I don't care much for Serdarusica—I don't like him, and he's not my type of guy. I like him just about as much as I like Cervar (which isn't saying much), but compared to Cervar, the guy is a total academic.

Chris Lopez59 said:So, what—the coach isn't responsible for the result anymore? Is that how it works? I mean, what’s the point of having national team managers at all then? 😉 They just show up, play their part, and we call it a day, right?

🙂Look, defense is on the coach, and honestly, a good chunk of the offense falls on them too. That Canadian defense was leaking like a sieve—it’s gut-wrenching to watch, and it’s not just getting to the players, it's hitting everyone hard.

Well, obviously defense is the coach's responsibility. I didn't catch the game, so I can't really weigh in on how any individual player performed...

But if you look at the score—down by ten—it feels like the whole system just hit a breaking point all at once...

At that stage, the only thing left is to call a timeout and try to salvage whatever's left of the situation...
