Hi there...
........So, I recently had some gynecological swabs done, and one of them came back positive for Staphylococcus aureus. My doctor mentioned that I really need to clear this up since we're actively trying to conceive, so he prescribed me 500 mg of Sumamed—and emphasized that I’ll need follow-up swabs in three weeks to make sure everything is clear. Could anyone help me understand what this actually means? Like, how does one even contract this, and how is it passed around? Also, my doctor didn't mention anything about my partner needing treatment... should he be taking anything too?
..One more thing: since we're trying for a baby, we haven't been using protection, and I actually had unprotected intercourse during my ovulation window. Now I'm a little worried that I might already be pregnant—if that's the case, is it safe to take Sumamed?
