Hey
I was wondering if there’s any interest here in seeing a new sports complex built up near Atlanta? I'm talking one or two courts, maybe a small gym, and most importantly, prices that won't break the bank.
If anyone feels the same way, let me know and...

It looks like I’m shouting into a void here, but since I can see people are lurking and reading, I was hoping you might be willing to share some of your own experiences. If you have any advice, fresh ideas, or even just some general thoughts that could help me out, I’d really appreciate it.
Also, if there happens to be anyone actually working in this field who wouldn't mind reaching out, I’d love to pick your brain and have a real conversation about how things work on the ground.
thanks

What kind of sports arena are we even talking about here? What's the actual programming?

Look, wherever you're planning to pull this off, you first have to figure out if there’s actually any demand or interest from the local community.

On top of that, you need to map out the whole financial structure, get everything down on paper, and build a proper cash flow projection😁.
You can't just walk in there throwing around empty phrases like "affordable prices." You have to hit your ROI, and that depends entirely on how you're funding the thing.

Fine, let's say you're loaded and don't care about the initial startup costs—you still have to account for depreciation and long-term profitability.

I really hope you actually have a plan: I'm talking content strategy, a weekly schedule, and a full budget breakdown. What do you expect people to answer when you haven't even come close to explaining what this project actually is or what it's going to offer.

A gym of this size could fit one or two futsal courts.
My initial thought was to build one standard court—something around 40x20 for 4v4 plus subs—and then maybe a smaller secondary pitch designed for 4-on-4 play.
That’s just the rough concept.
Depending on how things shake out, I might even go with two larger courts.
The flooring is another variable; while I suspect artificial turf would be the most popular choice, I’m considering a mix, like one turf field and one hardwood court.
So, here’s what I really want to know: what kind of courts and what kind of surfaces would you actually want?
What are your preferences? What do you guys enjoy playing on?
Financially speaking, I have some capital ready, though I’d likely lean on a loan for part of it, so there’s some math to work out. But honestly, my biggest concern isn't the money—it's the demand. If there's an actual audience for this, the funding becomes the easiest part of the puzzle.
I’m looking at setting this up near Atlanta. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with the area, but there aren't many dedicated indoor facilities around there, and the ones that do exist are constantly booked up. That lack of availability tells me there's a real hunger for more futsal space.
I have plenty of other ideas swirling around, but that’s why I’m curious about yours.
What would draw you in? How should the facility look or feel? I started this thread specifically to gauge interest and to see if you all would be willing to share your suggestions or past experiences.
Thanks in advance to everyone, and a quick thanks to Sarah King25 for nudging me to lay all this out.
Take it easy.
