She was misdiagnosed with HIV, hepatitis, and herpes!

And to top it all off, they won't even apologize. If I were in their shoes, I'd be pushing for the maximum settlement possible. 👎
I'm curious if anyone else here—regardless of gender—has dealt with something similar? How did people react? Did you take them to court, or just accept it as a stroke of bad luck?🙂

It’s entirely possible we’re looking at a case of switched lab samples. Either way, the level of negligence shown by the hospital is absolutely staggering.
False positives on HIV tests are always a statistical possibility, which is exactly why the protocol requires a follow-up screening.
