It’s true, doing them one-handed provides more stability than even a barbell... 😁😁 😁but I'm certainly no bodybuilder, so I can barely manage a couple—and by "couple," I mean exactly two—before my muscles start twitching painfully because I'm working with my own 150 pounds plus whatever reaction force my legs throw at me...

Using my hands is the path of least resistance, since my joints don't demand much more than they can give... or perhaps it's just that my wrists feel perpetually stiff and useless...

Using just one hand is actually more balanced—honestly, maybe even better than a standard bench press bar... 😁😁 😁I'm definitely no pro bodybuilder, though, so I can't really push much more than a couple of reps (and by "a couple," I mean two) before my muscles start twitching painfully lol. Since I'm only about 150 lbs, trying to stabilize everything with one arm while dealing with the leg drive is a whole different beast...
The bench press is total garbage.

Man, why would you even say that? It works wonders for me. I’ve been hitting it consistently for over a year now, and almost every single time I finish a set, I can actually feel those muscle fibers firing. My chest gains have been insane compared to when I just stick to dumbbells. I can't even describe the pump I get with the bar.

Terry Wells56 said:The ones on my hands are actually the easiest for me because they don't really strain my wrists... you know, that feeling where your arm just feels all stiff and tight? Like it's totally locked up...
Personally, though, I find those others to be way more brutal 😁

Terry Wells56 said:Doing these on my knuckles is way easier—it doesn't strain my wrists nearly as much. It stops that stretching sensation... whatever you call it when your hand feels totally shot...
I haven't really noticed any major difference in wrist flexibility compared to doing them with flat palms. Honestly? Doing pushups on your knuckles builds much more grip strength than using an open palm.

idk... I usually just stick to sets of 25-30 reps, so I've never really pushed myself to see how many I can grind out at once...

70 wide-grip reps
35 narrow-grip
I’m honestly not sure if I could ever push myself any further, though I’ve never really felt the need to.

Right now I’m hitting about 50 reps, usually doing 5 sets on my lifting days—though I honestly feel like I could push myself even harder than that, if I'm being real. I try to stick to these 5 consistent sets because I guess I'm just trying to make sure I'm actually making some steady progress instead of just spinning my wheels... my personal best is sitting at 130 right now.
