Honestly, I’ve grown pretty tired of Apple, and I wouldn't call myself a huge fan of Intel either, but this APU is something special. After digging into it following that whole debate, I realized the i3 is way too expensive for such pathetic graphics. Meanwhile, AMD offers an Athlon with four cores at similar speeds for half the price. $67 It offers more processing power and better graphics than anything in NVIDIA's current lineup, including the 400 series.$167Once that next generation drops—the one pushing way more teraflops while hopefully cutting the TDP in half—it’s going to be an absolute beast. Honestly, it'll be such a steal at that point. If I can actually slide something that powerful right into my pocket? That's the dream. For me, nothing else is even going to come close.
So you hate Apple? I feel the same way. Ever since I realized my buddy's Apple setup had specs half as good as my PC, yet was two generations older and still ran absolutely faster than mine, I've felt that way. It’s just faster. Video, photos, music—processing just runs better on Apple.
In terms of design and software, they are Superior to any PC. You could build a custom rig for $2,000 with components twice as powerful, and it would still be slower than Apple for that price. It simply is what it is.
You’re talking about small form factor cases, Zotac mini PCs, and things like that—stuff Apple mastered and put into mainstream use ages ago.
I mean, do you even know how long the mini Macintosh has been around or how small it actually is?
So, you aren't wrong. I also hate Apple for that very reason 🙂. It’s easy to hate something that is Superior
