Someone in my house just tested positive for H. pylori.

Is it even worth getting tested if I’m not feeling any stomach issues? I’ve heard there’s about an 80% chance I picked it up from them—but then again, I also read that many doctors view it as just a standard part of gut flora, only becoming a real problem when you have a bad diet or excess acid production.
Can you actually tell if you have it by looking at a cracked tongue?
The reality is that my diet has been pretty terrible lately—lots of alcohol, coffee, Coca-Cola, greasy food, pastries, sweets (that’s always 😁 )
That said, I’m 30 and haven't had any actual health problems yet.

What would you all recommend?

Is everyone just staying quiet today?
I’ve pretty much made up my mind not to go through with treatment. I was reading some medical forums online, and apparently, doctors are split on what to do when you test positive for H. pylori but aren't actually feeling any symptoms—like ulcers or acid reflux. A lot of physicians won't even bother prescribing antibiotics if there isn't an active issue present.
At this point, I'm just hoping I don't end up dealing with a nasty ulcer in my thirties. I'll just try to eat a bit cleaner and live a healthier lifestyle down the road, provided I can manage it.
