That’s exactly how I see things too, though I still have quite a long way to go before I reach that point. 🤣

Lisa Turner14 said:I really admire when people take genuine care of their physical health, because while looking good can be a great motivator, isn't the true reward actually that incredible sense of accomplishment you feel right after a solid workout?😁

Is it just me, or does that deep, hollow sense of hunger hit you right after you finish a heavy workout? 😬

What motivates me most is exactly what Gwen was saying earlier. I honestly feel like a completely different person when I look in the mirror now that I’ve started working out regularly. I actually managed to squeeze into those jeans I couldn't even get halfway zipped up last year, which felt pretty amazing. It might sound a bit strange to some people, but I also find myself having so much more energy to tackle all those little daily tasks that used to wear me down.

That doesn't sound weird at all to me. There’s a simple logic to it: working out kicks your metabolism into high gear, making everything run smoother and leaving you feeling recharged.

Are you just here to stir up some trouble at the gym? 😉

Oh, I’m not trolling—honestly, I don't even know what that word means. I'm just genuinely trying to find some motivation to actually start working out. 😁
Besides, I still love messing with you; ever since you decided you hated me back when I was your dentist, it's been my favorite pastime... 😁

And hey, I've loved teasing you since your dentist visit—you've hated me ever since, so it’s kind of funny to me... 😁

Correcting someone isn't hating them. You can be boring, uninteresting, or whatever else, but I'm not going to hold that against you. 😕

If you want to troll, go ahead. But it's just not that interesting.

If you're just going to troll, go ahead—but honestly, it’s just incredibly boring.

Honestly, you're absolutely right about that... alright, let's not get mixed up. 🙂 Listen, if you're looking for guidance, I’d say just take a moment to clear your head first. Sometimes the best advice is simply to step back and look at the bigger picture before making a move. 😉

It was a genuine shock to my system when it finally dawned on me that the workouts themselves aren't actually the issue... 🤷 It’s quite rare for me to have those days where I just can't bring myself to move, and even then, I usually end up forcing my way through them out of pure stubbornness... 🤷 Yet, I simply cannot wrap my head around why that intense surge of motivation and sheer willpower I summon for my training sessions refuses to follow me over to my desk 🤷 It just won't happen, no matter how much I try...

laf loves squats because they’ll eventually get you close enough to touch your own backside 😬

OT: Honestly, if I don't get my workout session in, I start getting incredibly restless—and when I get restless, things tend to get physical 🙏

OP: If I don't get my workout in, I get super cranky, and when I'm cranky, I start getting aggressive.🙏

At this rate, you're gonna be staring down an AR-15.
Go listen to some country music instead🙂
You're constantly thinking about all these weirdly homoerotic situations... Honestly, if I were you, I'd be asking myself😉
😁

OP

Just pure exhaustion.
It sounds crazy, but yeah—I actually fight off the fatigue by hitting the gym.

What really keeps me going is that feeling of getting progressively stronger every single time... knowing that 99.9999% of the people I run into are nowhere near my level. 😁

Okay, I'm joking a little bit... what actually drives me is seeing someone else out there—whether it’s in person or just scrolling through social media—who is better or stronger than me. It creates this immediate need to overtake them.

Plus, sticking to the training program is a massive motivator on its own. Seeing the raw data and the numbers makes it impossible to ignore how much I've improved compared to where I started.

There’s honestly nothing better than hitting the gym on one of those days when I really just didn't feel like going—finishing a workout like that gives me such a massive sense of accomplishment. It’s that specific feeling of being glad I actually showed up, even when my brain was trying to talk me out of it. (Though lately, I’ve been looking forward to training even more because my schedule is so packed—it’s become my go-to way to just decompress and unwind
