Hey there,

I was wondering if anyone could point me toward the senior admins or higher-ups here. I need to file a formal complaint regarding some moderators who aren't following the rules concerning signatures. To be honest, I haven't even posted on this forum in six months, yet I just got hit with a warning today over my signature... all from a moderator who seems to be breaking that exact same rule himself. On top of that, I noticed about ten other moderators have links in their signatures to sites like YouTube, Pandora, and so on.

The explanation for my warning stated that we're only allowed to link to major US sites like CNN, Huffington Post, or personal blogs... but then you see the moderators ignoring those guidelines constantly. It feels pretty cynical to penalize regular users while they get to do whatever they want.

Names? Desiree, Bellwether.
But hey, you should probably check out the rules for setting up your signature first

Could someone point me toward the senior staff members I can contact regarding moderators who aren't following the signature rules? I haven't posted here in about six months, yet I just received a warning today regarding my signature—issued by a moderator who, frankly, seems to be violating the exact same policy. To make matters more interesting, I pointed out about ten other moderators whose signatures include links to sites like YouTube or Pandora.

The reasoning behind my warning was that links are strictly limited to internal sites like Reddit, CNN, or local news blogs, yet the moderators themselves seem to ignore this rule constantly. It feels a bit cynical to penalize regular users while the staff gets to operate under a different set of standards.

Links to YouTube, Pandora, and Myspace are perfectly fine...
However, linking to other forums, news portals, or using referral links is prohibited...
For a full list of what isn't allowed, check here.
You can also find the directory for Moderators and Admins here.

Best regards. 🙂

You shared a link to a site that's strictly prohibited on this platform. Since you've already had a post taken down for the exact same thing before, that's why you received a formal warning.
