Just got diagnosed with a uterine polyp at my OBGYN, despite all my previous checkups being totally fine. No inflammation, no pain, nothing. Given the size—about 16.8x13.4mm—my doctor is pushing for ablation. Has anyone here actually gone through this? How long is the hospital stay, and how bad is the pain? Also, do they use local or general anesthesia? Thanks.🙂

gentleangler13 said:Despite having perfectly clear checkups in the past, my recent gynecological exam turned up a uterine polyp, which was quite a surprise given that I haven't dealt with any inflammation or discomfort. Because of its size—roughly 16 by 13 millimeters—my doctor suggested an ablation to clear things up. Has anyone here gone through this procedure before? I’m curious about how long the hospital stay typically lasts, what the pain level is like, and whether they usually use local or general anesthesia. Any insight would be much appreciated.🙂

I read about what you’re going through. I had a uterine polyp removed about twenty days ago via hysteroscopy—it was a relatively minor outpatient procedure, nothing too intense. They basically use a small camera through the cervix, so there isn't much downtime. I also happened to have some cysts to deal with at the same time, which meant I ended up staying at the hospital for about a week to get everything sorted out.
