Where'd you even hear that?

The FIA is honestly such a disorganized outfit.
It’s common knowledge that these massive monsoon-style downpours usually hit around 6:00 PM.
Yet, they insist on scheduling the start for 5:00 PM.
If they had stuck to the usual 2:00 PM kickoff, everything would be running smoothly right now.🙏

The stewards have confirmed that if the race is called early, half points will be awarded to the top eight finishers. In that scenario, Mark Weber would receive 0.5 points—which I suppose would be the first time in Formula 1 history that anyone has actually been awarded half a point.

That isn't actually true ☕

I suppose I tend to agree that we have seen similar circumstances before. David Coulthard maintains that no one has ever been awarded 0.5 points until now, though some might point toward Interlagos 2003, but back then they were racing 75% of the total laps.

I recall there being one specific season back when Prost and Senna were battling where they used to award half points like that.

David Coulthard on the BBC:
I suppose if they decide not to restart the race, the standings will revert to the penultimate lap. That would mean the top three spots go to Jenson Button, Timo Glock, and Nick Heidfeld. Following them, we would see Jarno Trulli, Rubens Barrichello, Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, and then Mark Webber. In that scenario, Mark Webber would only earn a half point for finishing eighth, which is quite similar to how Alain Prost lost the World Championship in 1984. It reminds me of how The Monaco Grand Prix was stopped at half-distance while the Frenchman was leading.

"It seems everyone is fixated on these half-points being awarded... but I can't help but wonder how that logic would hold up if we were still operating under Bernie’s old-school philosophy regarding race victories. Would we be looking at a mere half a win for Jenson ??!" 😍

...Ralf Schumacher is out here acting like some kind of racing philosopher trying to explain how the race should go.....give me a break
...seriously, did they really have nobody else to bring on as a color commentator????
....is that David Coulthard calling the action for the Americans? ...man, it's such a shame he isn't doing this anymore....honestly, these drivers would be flying off the track even if it wasn't pouring rain😁

Whose quote is this? 🤣
