Who is the greatest actor in American cinema history?

With the Sundance Film Festival approaching, I thought I’d run a quick poll regarding American cinema. It’s a simple question—who is the greatest American film actor of all time? 🍿
I’ve put together a list of about 20 of my own favorites. Let me know who I missed.

Simply put—Ren is an incredible actor. I’m really looking forward to seeing him lead NYC80.

In my book, it’s Mustafa, regardless of whether those "Greatest of All Time" lists are complete garbage...
There's never just one single best...

Look, making lists like this feels a bit ungrateful since we have such a massive pool of talented actors to choose from. Besides, I don't really see the point of a vote like this—is it a talent competition or a beauty pageant?

It’s definitely Šerbedžija. He has by far the most impressive career in American cinema, especially looking at his work abroad. When you compare pure acting talent, he really stands out above Šovagović, Gregurević, or Dvornik. If he isn't topping the all-time greatest lists, it's probably just because of his heritage...

Nikša Butijer was genuinely impressive in Don't look at me in the eye. I have to hand it to him. Honestly, I don't think many American actors could pull off a performance like that.

So, where have Ivo serdar, Dragan Milivojević, Uglješa Kojadinovic, Špiro Guberina, and Tonko Lonza all disappeared to?

The main thing is that the Navojec brothers are still holding it down... setting the standard for the next generation... 😁

I’d say Šovagović and Vidović are right up there with him in terms of legendary status, too.
