Greetings to all. Three weeks ago, around 2:00 AM, I was lying in bed watching TV when it hit me. My heart began racing uncontrollably, my breathing became erratic, my palms grew sweaty, and then came the chills followed by an urgent trip to the restroom. I called 911 because I felt like I was dying, yet they dismissed it as a mere panic attack—they didn't even bother to send someone to check on me.😕👎Since this is my first experience with such an episode, perhaps I am overreacting. Two days later, I went for an EKG. My results showed cholesterol at 5.0, glucose at 5.1, and CK at 170; my kidney function tests were all normal. The EKG showed a steady rhythm at 87 BPM. I also had an ultrasound, but the doctor insisted my heart is functioning perfectly. His advice? Watch my diet and eat more variety. He noted that for my age, my cholesterol is slightly high despite the fact that I don't smoke, though he did question my recent meals. I told him I had been eating salads loaded with mayo, mozzarella, and tuna for the last three days. So, what am I dealing with here? Is this an arrhythmia or truly just a panic attack? The worst part is the lingering fear that it will happen again; I feel as though I need to take some herbal sedative just to prevent my heart from giving out. Thank you all.
