Child Movie Stars: Where are they now?

They basically dragged little Timothée Chalamet out to some remote hill in the Midwest just to film *The Lone Wolf*, and honestly? Huge win. I caught a replay of his performance on a ranch recently, and man, the kid is a natural. He just shines.

Then you have Virginie, who absolutely crushed that one role and then—poof—just vanished from the spotlight.

I don't even know where to start with this one. Honestly? It's a mess. Just a total, unmitigated disaster from start to finish. I tried to be optimistic—really, I did—but you can only stretch yourself so thin before you just snap. It’s like watching someone try to build a skyscraper out of toothpicks and prayer. You're just sitting there, waiting for the inevitable collapse, and then... boom. There it is. My dignity, gone. I mean, come on. We all saw it coming, didn't we? It was written all over the walls. Dakota absolutely crushed it in *The Runaways*. I mean, don't get me wrong—the movie itself is pretty mediocre at best—but she was incredible. She’s totally unrecognizable in this role, and honestly? It’s easily her best performance yet.👍

Clearly, you haven't seen much of Dakota's work. I mean, seriously? That performance she gave in *Man on Fire*, and especially in *Hound Dog*... she hasn't touched anything even remotely close to that level since.

If I had to pick one standout from that group of kids, I’d definitely go with little Isabelle Fuhrman from Orphan. She was just incredible. I mean, she actually held her own alongside Dakota in Hound Dog, too. Seriously impressive stuff.

If we're talking about child actors, I’d point to the little girl from "Orphan," Isabelle Fuhrman—she's incredible. She was actually in "Hounddog" with Dakota.

Truth is, she wasn't even half as good in "Runaways" as she was in some of her earlier stuff.

And yeah, Isabelle is great, particularly in "Orphan."

I also forgot all about Saoirse Ronan—we could have seen her in "Atonement" with Keira Knightley, and then last year in "The Lovely Bones."

Honestly, most people can’t even remember their names anymore. We just remember the roles they played, if we even remember those.

Jenn Murray is honestly incredible at playing the role of Dorothy Mills.

Chloë Grace Moretz is legit—she was killer in Kick-Ass, and even in Let Me In, though I usually can't stand remakes. Honestly, I'm curious to see how she handles Carrie. She’ll probably crush it, but let's be real, it's hard to top Sissy Spacek since that version is such a total classic. But hey, whatever—you gotta make a name for yourself somehow, and nowadays it feels like Hollywood just churns out remakes constantly. Personally, I think she's way better than Saoirse Ronan; that girl just rubs me the wrong way for some reason.😁

I saw him the other day in that tour movie, playing some minor driver role. Honestly, I barely recognized him—he’s aged like milk, and his delivery was so wooden you'd think he was reading his first script. Truly painful. 🙂And then, less than five days before "Cross of Iron" by Sam Peckinpah! I honestly can't believe it. He’s basically the only icon from that part of the world who can claim he actually shared the screen with legends like James Coburn or James Mason, only to end up driving a van in some sketchy anti-war flick in a supporting role.

Maybe he just didn't look out for himself early enough, failed to land a decent agent, or simply peaked too soon and couldn't keep up once adulthood hit. I don't know. His situation reminds me of Shirley Temple—all that charm and those perfect curls didn't mean much once she grew up and realized Hollywood wasn't interested anymore.

Here’s a shot of what I consider the most beautiful child ever to grace the screen. Her name is Brittany Ashton Holmes, and she was in that 1994 remake of Little Rascals. I haven't heard a single thing about her since.
