Best software for making Flash games?

Hey everyone!
Does anyone have any solid recommendations for software to build Flash games (.swf)?
If you know of anything, please let me know!

I've been digging around on Google, but honestly, everything I'm finding just feels so... meh. Nothing really catches my eye.

Adobe Flash. If you can really get a handle on it, especially mastering ActionScript, you're golden.

Yeah, but isn't it kind of massive? Like, around 800 MB, right?
Is there maybe a smaller version somewhere, like... I don't know, maybe 100 or 200 MB?

If you were truly that invested in it, you would have just downloaded the software—even if it was a massive 8GB file.

Besides, I suspect it isn't quite as straightforward as you might imagine—if I had to guess, anyway.

It’s pretty easy to get through... at least it used to be for me. My biggest issue, honestly, the only real hurdle I run into, is that I have zero clue how to actually draw anything that looks like a real object. So, naturally, I end up putting everything off until the last minute. 😍

Oh, for sure, I know my way around it a bit. I used to mess around with SWF Quicker—or whatever the heck they call it these days—but there was this annoying 1 GB limit, and now look at this😢
