Rising religious intolerance: What's going on?

Isn't the topic of Atheism being discussed here essentially inciting religious hatred? If that isn't the case, then what exactly is it? In this thread, the author is being incredibly explicit and unambiguous about the idea that theism and religious practice should be outlawed as a crime. That is nothing less than spreading religious intolerance. Is this kind of discrimination and hostility toward a specific group—one that I don't even belong to—actually permitted?
