I got my shots for tetanus, hepatitis A, and typhoid about two and a half weeks ago... and honestly, for the last few days, I’ve been feeling absolutely wiped out. It's getting to the point where I can barely walk—I feel totally disoriented, and my heart is racing like crazy. To make matters worse, I'm traveling through Southeast Asia right now and don't have anyone local to ask about this. Is it even possible that these symptoms are coming from the vaccines, or could it be something else entirely? Has anyone here dealt with anything similar? 😕😕🤷👎

Did you get vaccinated here in the States or somewhere else? Either way, you really ought to see
a doctor if there's any chance you can. There should be someone
on the medical staff where you are. It might just be a reaction to the shot, but it's definitely something
that needs checking out.

Thanks for getting back to me,

I got my shot over in Chicago about two or three weeks ago..
Now I’m stuck sitting here in the hospital—and even the doctors seem clueless about what's going on with me. I’ve got an MRI and a CT scan scheduled in two hours, so we'll just have to see where this goes... 🤷

So, turns out I’m dealing with an equilibrium disorder instead of just standard vertigo... anyone here actually know anything about this?🙄

From what I understand, balance issues usually stem from somewhere in the inner ear. If this is seriously messing with your day-to-day life, you really ought to see an ENT and maybe a neurologist too. You could always look into getting checked out once you're back home in the States. So, I guess your issues aren't actually linked to the vaccination? It just seems like the timing coincided right after you got the shot.

I'm just really glad you finally made it to the doctor and got those tests done. It’s definitely for the best.
mistyjackal842 suggested that those balance issues actually stem from internal struggles.
Hmm, maybe it’s some kind of infection? It just crossed my mind—you were traveling for quite a while.
Flying? Yeah, those middle ear pressure changes can really mess with you. It’s enough to cause some serious discomfort.
It’s easy to forget that things like a lack of Vitamin B12 or folate can actually mess with your balance, too.
Acid reflux and this feeling of general weakness... the symptoms feel pretty much identical to what you're going through. I'd suggest getting some blood work done.
Doctors won't even touch anything until they've run the CT scans or MRIs first. And honestly, half the time, that's exactly what ends up being the case. It's just how it works now.
Push them to do that. I'm honestly only suggesting it because of the vaccinations I've had.
It’s been about two or three weeks since we got them, and you have to consider that the liver responsible for producing B12 also has to filter out the vaccine.

It’s possible that extreme physical exhaustion is playing a role here too. Between the long travel and the vaccine...
Dietary shifts, climate changes... all that stuff can really mess with you. I’ve been thinking about how much those things impact health, specifically when it comes to potential neck and cervical issues. It's a lot to balance.
Part of the spine, etc. I honestly don't know if they actually ran a full panel or all the other lab tests on you...
Thorough research? You just have to double-check everything. Don't be afraid to dig deep.
I honestly feel like there isn't much a doctor can't handle. If you're going through something, please, just speak up so we can hear your story.
Vas.👍🙂

People today seem so quick to blame vaccines for absolutely everything. I’m not talking about Mark from the forums, though—I’m sure he just found himself in a pretty rough spot while traveling far away from home on another continent. Personally, I’ve never had any issues after getting vaccinated. That goes for the last shot I received as an adult, too; I was 23 and had fallen off a motorcycle, leaving me with two nasty wounds on my legs. Honestly, I felt much safer getting a tetanus shot since I’d wiped out right where the dirt road meets the pavement. At the end of the day, vaccination is useful, and so many diseases have been wiped out because of it. Our vaccines here in America are just as good, and if some parents choose to buy expensive imported ones for their kids, well, that’s their own call. Though, I suppose big global pharmaceutical giants play a huge role in all this with their aggressive marketing and those commissions they pay out to use their products.

For me, I've never had any issues after getting vaccinated. That includes the last shot I got as an adult, back when I was 23 and took a nasty fall off a motorcycle, leaving me with two big wounds on my legs. I actually felt a lot safer getting a tetanus shot because I fell right on the edge where the dirt meets the asphalt and really did a number on myself. Vaccines are useful, plain and simple, and they've wiped out so many diseases. Our domestic vaccines are solid too; if some parents choose to buy expensive imported ones for their kids, well, that's their call. But you can't ignore the role big global pharma companies play with their aggressive marketing and the commissions they pay out to push their products.

It isn't really about blaming, though. It's just that sometimes the body has a very strong reaction
to a vaccine, that's all. Of course, I'm grateful and thankful that vaccines exist
—personally, I feel much safer being vaccinated than not being vaccinated.
Our medical supplies and vaccines are great—we just lack the funding
to really invest in developing our own pharmaceutical industry. We have the talent, both
in pharmacy and medicine—we just need a little more willpower from the people in charge
and I truly believe we could be top-tier globally.
Respect to you all, best regards.

Edit: Mark, what's going on? Where are you? Is everything okay?

Hey everyone!
It’s actually pretty cool to see people I don't even know checking in on me... THANKS, I’m genuinely surprised by the kindness here 😍

So, I ended up at the hospital... brain CT, EKG, blood work... everything came back "normal," which is great, except they still have zero clue what's actually going on

I tried taking some B12 vitamins and those circulation supplements you find at CVS... nothing worked. Absolutely nothing
After that, I basically decided to play doctor myself—did a deep dive on Google and convinced myself it was an inner ear infection. So, I started taking the only antibiotic I had lying around, amoxicillin (I usually take it as a preventative for bacterial endocarditis anyway), and honestly? I felt better. Was it the antibiotic or just luck? Who knows... but anyway, I felt fine for about two weeks before the whole thing started creeping back in. It's not as intense as before, but that balance issue is still there. Just... lingering. Hmm, who knows 🤷 I’ve decided to just stop all the pills for a bit and lie down for a few days. Maybe things will settle down if I just rest. I'll keep you guys posted 👍
