Flu shot side effects: What to expect?

I know people usually talk about redness or swelling right where you got the shot, but is it possible to get nausea and diarrhea as side effects too? My mom and I both got our shots on Tuesday. We haven't really hung out much since then, and we haven't even shared any meals, but then last night, just a few hours apart, we both started throwing up.😢

Vomiting and diarrhea aren't actually side effects of the flu shot. Since you experienced both at the exact same time, I'd say there’s probably some other reason behind it.

I make it a point to get my flu shot every single year just to stay protected—it doesn't make much sense to risk getting sick right when I'm supposed to be on vacation🙂
