So, it actually happened? I didn't even notice at first. I mentioned it to my mom, and she called me right away just to vent about how much it threw her off... 😁

But this probably isn't the best topic for the discussion board, so I should move it. Maybe over to the general chat instead.

I was just on the phone πŸ˜‚ and I could hear the thunder myselfβ€”plus the wind is howling like it’s got nowhere else to go 😁

Ever since I got home from work, everything's been shaking over here. I've been checking Best Buy, Geek Squad, even local tech forums... just trying to make sense of it. 😁
What was that tremor? Where did it hit? πŸ˜•πŸ€·

So, it really was an earthquakeπŸ™‚
I've felt a few of them before, and honestly, I'm terrified.
That’s my absolute biggest fear.
Now there’s no way I’m getting any sleep tonight.πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ˜’

I’m just some kid, I guess. Step out the front door and every single neighbor is already out on their balconies watching.
And there was one more thing, but I totally slept through it. 🀷

There are quite a few of them, and some are actually pretty formidable...

I still remember being caught in an earthquake once; my wardrobe started rattling like crazy,
and the doors were swinging back and forth too... man, it was intense...

Oh, for sure, I remember one in particular. Honestly, my legs were shaking so hard I thought they were gonna give out on me. 🀣

I missed most of themβ€”whether they were big wins or total flops, I slept right through the whole thing! 😁

I usually only hear about earthquakes when they pop up on the news 🀷

To be honest, I’ve only actually felt one myself, and even then, I wasn't entirely sure if it was real because I was mid-nap at the timeβ€”I legit thought I was just having some weirdly vivid dream πŸ™‚

Honestly, I’ve only actually felt one myselfβ€”and even then, it was barely noticeable because I was mid-nap! I seriously had to wonder if I was just having a weird dream or if the house was actually movingπŸ™‚

I usually just hear about them from my neighbors😍

I still remember those days back when the major earthquakes hit. All of us in the city ended up sleeping out on the playground just to feel safe. I went through a few of themβ€”some really intense ones, others just minor tremors.

Drake lives on such shaky ground that we get hit with tremors all the time. We had one last week, but honestly, it’s nothing compared to the absolute carnage back in 1667β€”where like two-thirds of the population was wiped outβ€”or that massive disaster in 1979.
Personally, earthquakes don't faze me. I've actually slept right through a few. 😳

I’ve felt my fair share of minor tremors before, though usually it’s just a subtle vibration where you notice the chandelier swinging before you even feel the ground move.
But I did experience one significantly stronger earthquake once, back when I was much younger, right around 8 in the morning, and the entire room shook so violently that it sounded like an explosion went off nearby, which actually led my neighbor to tell me she thought a massive semi-truck had slammed into our building.
