So, here’s the situation... my brother started drinking when he was 17, and now he’s 24 and it’s become a full-blown chronic addiction. He’s actually willing to try treatment in a sober living community or a rehab center, but we just don't know where to find anything like that in America. We're originally from Portland, so I was wondering if there are any recovery communities near Portland or maybe out in the Midwest—or really anywhere in the US, for that matter. Does this kind of thing cost money, or are there free programs available? If anyone knows of any places, even phone numbers, I’d appreciate it. He spent 20 days at the psychiatric ward, but they released him back home, and now he’s on three different types of medication. I’m asking the moderators not to delete this; I wasn't quite sure which sub to post this in. Any help would mean a lot.
