Just like Michael Schumacher sitting in the pit lane... what exactly is he doing there?

He’s actually there as an advisorβ€”it’s clearly stated! Meanwhile, this other guyβ€”the one we're talking aboutβ€”is long since retired!

Morgan Murphy7 said:Alright, fadedpanther4, why are you spoiling the fun by giving away all the secrets right off the bat?😁

We all know the old adage that the car accounts for about 90% of the result while the driver is just 10%,

but today, Fernando Alonso managed to snatch that win because, well, he brings an extra 1% to the table,

you catch my drift?πŸ™

That’s true enough, but there is one variable we simply cannot quantify through data alone... the driver's influence on the actual development of the car...

Obviously, a driver can't magically compensate for a subpar engine or if they completely botch the wheelbase setup, but you can clearly track the evolution of the R28 from the start of the season until now...

Once you make those fundamental, structural mistakes during design, there really isn't much that can be done to fix it...

Next year remains a complete and utter mystery...

If Renault manages to iron out those minor issues with the engine,πŸ™‚

anything could happen.

Bradley Nelson2 said:Those Italians, notorious for their constant meddling and playing favorites with Massa whenever they get the chance, paired with that erratic driver who basically needs zero effort because he can just wreck things on a whim... it's a recipe for success, I suppose if you call that kind of chaos "winning."β˜•

Honestly, I feel like Kimi RÀikkânen really ought to start making a genuine effort to prove he actually gives a damn about winning something.😁

Look, I used to be such a huge fan of Michael Schumacher. I practically worshipped his driving. But honestly, if he's out there giving advice to anyone, then I don't care... his input just doesn't mean much to me anymore.

Apparently, Massa is the only one actually listening to him! Not Kimi!

If that's true, then Schumacher's advice isn't worth a damn. πŸ˜‚

Honestly, they really ought to install proximity sensors on the Ferrari and make sure every single mechanic is equipped with oneβ€”that way, the car simply won't be allowed to fire up unless everyone is at least ten feet clear of the chassis.

And they should probably give one to Massa too, just to ensure the car can't launch until he’s actually out of the cockpit.

As much as I love to joke, the car shouldn't be quite as clueless as Massa is; after all, deep down in the heart of that red bucket, there's still some McLaren electronics keeping things running.

I guess they should probably give Massa a penalty, or maybe just prevent the car from even starting while Tuntlek is still inside.

I don't think the car is quite as incompetent as Felipe Massa was being; at its core, that red McLaren is still powered by decent electronics.

The car can't be quite as brainless as Massa isβ€”after all, even that red bucket of bolts is running McLaren electronics at its core.

Alright thenβ€”are you trashing Massa here, or just the red bucket, or maybe the silver one?
