Just take a look at what happened during that race in Austin, specifically that moment between Massa and Kubica. You can see how many times they cut across the grass and crossed the track line... someone was mentioning a penalty for going through the pit lane that lasts 25 seconds, but honestly, in that amount of time you could probably fuel up an entire fleet of cars through him and still not hit a 25-second mark. It feels like a massive overreach. As for Massa, I think he’s actually a pretty solid driver—if he wasn't where he is today, he wouldn't have made it this far—but he just doesn't have that edge, that ability to overtake anyone. Just look at how much he struggled when the rain started hitting; remember what Alonso used to do to him back during the European Grand Prix? He completely fell apart once things got messy.
