Kimi Räikkönen is out! He's done! There's just no way Lewis Hamilton can win championships driving mid-tier cars. You need someone like Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel, or maybe Robert Kubica to make that happen. Honestly, props to Lewis; I had a feeling he'd push Kimi Räikkönen out the door once the rain started hitting the track. At least Felipe Massa managed to limp across the line. Nick Heidfeld really made the most of the wet conditions, slicing through the field to grab third. It was an incredible drive by Sébastien Bourdais, too—this definitely secures him a seat in Formula 1 for 2009.🙂

I gotta agree with that, and I'm not even being a fanboy here. Like, man, Kimi was playing his own game—lots of pushing in the corners and blocking moves—and there was really no way for him to just slide by on the side and let it happen....

I mean, it would be pretty stupid to strip the guy of his win now, but looking at it objectively... yeah, it wasn't exactly clean...👎

If Kimi had stayed on the track, I can’t help but wonder how Lewis Hamilton would have handled it. Honestly, he probably would've nailed that final lap without a single mistake.
They shouldn't have taken the gamble; they should have just pitted and called it a day.

I remember reading somewhere once that Felipe Massa was being touted as the next Ayrton Senna, and honestly, I just laughed it off at the time. But looking back today, it actually makes me a bit emotional. Right before the rain started coming down, he was only about three seconds behind Lewis Hamilton, yet he ended up finishing 20th, even though it felt like that veteran driver was just cruising through the field

Honestly, Lewis Hamilton was being a total jerk here👎 he only let Kimi past just enough to get him out of his way. I actually feel bad for Kimi; he really deserved this win. I mean, I almost hope Lewis Hamilton ends up wrecking his car at every single race from here on out. Aside from that, the race was easily one of the best I’ve ever watched—those last three laps were absolutely insane. To be fair, the crew over at Ferrari is partly to blame too; they knew the rain was coming, but they gambled thinking they could hold out. But clearly, thinking isn't everything... just look at how much Nick Heidfeld benefited by switching to intermediates.
