Don't even sweat the tampon thing... I remember being super cautious the first few times, just wading around slowly because I wasn't quite ready to dive into the ocean, you know? But once I actually got comfortable using one, I’d go swimming and honestly, I wouldn't give it a second thought at all... I have noticed that if things get a little intense—like if I'm jumping into the waves twenty times in a row or doing some ridiculous acrobatics in the surf—it can soak up a bit of seawater. Same goes if I'm wrestling around with my boyfriend or playing a high-energy game of beach volleyball or something similar.

But I've never had a leak, ever. Of course, as soon as I get out of the water, I swap it out for a fresh one. It just doesn't feel right or particularly comfortable wearing a damp one once I'm back on the sand.
Otherwise, it's a solid 5/5, totally fine, don't worry about it.

I have noticed that if I'm being really intense—like jumping into waves twenty times in a row, doing flips, or wrestling around with my boyfriend or playing some heavy beach volleyball—it can soak up a little seawater.

But it's never leaked on me... obviously, I swap it out right after I get out of the water because it feels gross to hang out in a wet tampon...
but otherwise, it's all good, no worries at all.

What are you even talking about?! Like your period knows you're playing beach volleyball or just waving your arms from the shore!!🙄

But okay, fine, you do flips, play volleyball, have a boyfriend... we get the point.😉

Man, I honestly thought I had the most perfect ass on the planet, but then life happened and everything just went soft and lost its shape 😢.

wanderingcanyon3 said:Oh, please! As if you'd know anything about water polo or beach volleyball just because you're standing on the shore waving your hands around!!🙄

But fine, whatever. You know what a backflip is, you know beach games, you have a boyfriend... we get the gist.😉

You really are something else.🙂
Beach volleyball isn't just "waving your hands." It involves diving for the ball, jumping, running...
And the whole point isn't about whether I personally know certain things or have a life; the point is that water gets inside you when you're doing stuff like jumping around, stretching out, and getting into those awkward positions you'd never bother doing on dry land.🙄

So, I guess even when things aren't heating up, you still find ways to spread those legs, right?

You’re talking about spreading them out, but you clearly haven't dealt with enough actual flow to understand how much liquid it takes just to get a tampon saturated...

But whatever, it’s really not that big of a deal... I was honestly just trying to explain why a tampon sometimes absorbs water and sometimes doesn't, but apparently, I ended up just making things confusing instead.

Amanda Hall87 said:you're talking about soaking them when you're bone dry, so obviously there isn't even anything to actually soak the tampon...

but it doesn't even matter, it’s really not a big deal... I was honestly just trying to offer a theory on why a tampon might absorb water sometimes and not others, and things just got weird

Look, you explained it perfectly fine, we all just (well, at least I did) jumped at the chance to make a joke out of it.

Picigin isn't just some mindless hand-waving thing. It’s actually about diving for the ball, throwing it, running around... you know, real movement.
Look, it’s not even about whether I know what I'm talking about or whatever. The point is, you're getting water where you don't want it when you're doing stuff like jumping around, spreading your legs, or getting into those weird positions you'd never pull off on dry land. 🙄

That’s interesting. I mean, I went cliff jumping and nothing happened. Then I went surfing, still nothing. Even diving didn't change anything. And yeah, I was wearing a tampon the whole time.😲

I don't have a boyfriend.

Look, you're doing it wrong. You aren't even putting it in right. 😉

I'm not out here picking fights with anyone, so I guess that's why things are staying pretty chill. 😁
I guess I can do a salto too.😲

You're deaf if you think you're doing it right. 😉

I don't pick fights with anyone, so maybe that's why it stays dry. 😁
Plus, I can do a backflip.😲

The only thing saving you is that you're single, what else could it be? 🤷

Ugh, seriously? Don't just pull it out before it's actually time—otherwise, how are you even supposed to tell if it's soaked in blood or just, you know, blood and water? If everything worked perfectly for everyone, we wouldn't even need pads or tampons; we'd all just head to the restroom, crack those things open by hand, and let nature take its course. ☕

Water’s leaking in on my end too, so I'm not exactly shocked by the situation ☕

What I find strange is how some of you are claiming you aren't dealing with this at all 😕

Low-key confused why yours isn't leaking? 😕

We aren't totally trashed like you.☕

duh! that's kind of the whole point though. you've got a plug. 😉

We aren't falling apart like you are.☕

🤣🤣🤣
So, are we really supposed to believe that every single woman whose tampon gets soaked through is just somehow fundamentally broken?

Human stupidity really knows no bounds. 🤣

So, what—every girl whose tampon gets a little wet is just "ruined"?

Seriously, people can be so clueless... 🤣

I’m just over here wondering about my own situation—sometimes it goes in easy, sometimes it's a struggle. 🤔

You guys are hilarious, I actually laughed out loud at this.
Maybe all those women dealing with bladder leaks should start focusing on some pelvic floor strengthening—a few Kegel exercises might actually do the trick.🤣

😉

Look—when you insert a tampon, you aren't creating an airtight seal there. It’s basic biology.
The anatomy is essentially an open cavity—it allows both air and moisture to penetrate.

Of course—there are always exceptions, like those once-in-a-lifetime women who seem to have dropped straight out of a dream. 😁
