Doctor on the forum?

Are there any MDs on this forum? If so, please drop their usernames below. This is urgent, so I’d appreciate anyone taking a moment to respond.

That’s a pretty weird request if you ask me. Why would anyone need to tell you who’s who? I mean, we all hide behind nicknames here anyway, right? Since you’re staying anonymous, just give us a little more context in your opening post so we actually know what we're looking at, otherwise I'm gonna have to shut this thread down.

I was wondering if any doctors on here might be able to assist with brain surgery at a more reasonable rate...

I assume there are professionals here who aren't hiding their credentials, and perhaps some members know which surgeons are known for being more flexible regarding medical costs.
I’d prefer to handle this via DM. I want to protect the privacy of the specialist I'm looking into, and frankly, I’d like to remain anonymous myself. If I get too specific about the situation, I’ll be too easy to identify.

Yeah, you’ve definitely got a point there. But honestly, everyone would know exactly who you are right away if you show up using a handle like stormyheron20 just to ask about some specific condition or treatment without even having to name names... It’s pretty obvious that whenever stormyheron20 asks something, any hope of staying anonymous goes straight out the window. Just saying!

Look, cynicism aside, just try asking a coherent question for once... maybe then someone might actually reach out via DM once they realize what's actually going on.

Seriously, Scott Allen10. I guess the request makes some sense, but then again, there are way worse threads out there—and ones that just repeat themselves—that don't even get shut down. In my opinion, you mods can be a bit much sometimes... I'm probably gonna get banned now since I’m just sharing my thoughts without being rude, I guess... btw, stormyheron20, it's hard to tell if someone's actually a doctor or not, so maybe this isn't the perfect spot for answers, but you gotta try, right? Good luck with the search... 🙂

I believe Scott Allen10 makes a valid point regarding his suggestion that stormyheron20 should be more specific about what she is looking for. Honestly, I doubt anyone will be able to identify the individual in question when her username is simply stormyheron20. My advice would be to provide a bit more context regarding why you need a doctor; that might encourage more helpful responses from the community. However, if you have already found an answer, then there is no need... best of luck either way.
And by the way, the moderators don't issue bans just for expressing an opinion.

No worries at all, ma'am! I'm just really glad you finally got the answer you were looking for.
I honestly have no idea why you got so worked up over nothing... I only asked you to clarify what was going on because that way you’d actually get helpful answers or info from people. How are doctors supposed to help you if you won't even say what the issue is? And I'm still totally confused about how asking that would somehow blow your anonymity... I'm just looking out for you...😵...paranoia isn't great for anyone...

Next time you want to ask something privately, maybe just try calling one of those medical hotlines where actual doctors are waiting to help you out...
