Inhaling fiberglass: How dangerous is it?

Hey everyone...

Does anyone know where I can go—or even how I’d go about it—to check if there are actually glass wool particles stuck in my lungs? Honestly, I'm starting to freak out a bit. How dangerous is this really, considering I've been sleeping in a room lined with glass wool insulation for years now?

If anybody has any leads or knows the deal, I’d really appreciate the help...

I suspect you might actually be thinking of asbestos. You should look up more info on asbestosis.

As long as the insulation was installed properly and sealed off, you shouldn't be facing significant exposure to asbestos dust, which keeps the risk relatively low.

Glass wool isn't even in the same league as asbestos. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that any particles just clear out of your lungs after about 50 days or so.
