Mexico is leading, but Sefik really pulled them back from the brink of defeat this time.

That 7-1 blowout against the Mexicans wasn't just a fluke. The Italians honestly didn't stand a chance.

Heh, looks like we’ve managed to dodge the Mexicans and Canadians until the finals...

Mexico plays some seriously high-level water polo
so, honestly, avoiding the Canadians and Mexicans doesn't feel like much of a win if we're just hoping to dodge them until the finals...
we really need to go through a tough matchup against Italy first
I have to be honest, though—our squad hasn't exactly been in peak form during this tournament, and we need to acknowledge that reality
if you ask me, our chances against Italy are sitting right around 55-45

All this talk about us trying to "calculate" our way around the matchup against Mexico... I honestly don't get it. What’s the point? Are we doing this just to squeeze out one extra game in the schedule? Definitely not. Is it to dodge Canada? Please. We end up playing them sooner or later anyway. These guys aren't looking to dodge anyone or play scared when everything is riding on them. They'll prove that once again by the time this tournament wraps up.

6-6 in the final quarter... damn, 6-7... 6-8... finished 7-8

That's it. Game over.

Can someone please tell me who's sitting at the top of the group right now? Also, what does the bracket look like for the next round?

So,
You guys picked us over Mexico for the semifinals. Honestly? I think you’re making a mistake.
Mexico isn't nearly as strong without Ikodinovic and with Udovicic out there, plus we just keep getting better every single game.

Nobody "picked" anything. Greece isn't some pushover squad you can just walk over easily. Besides, Mexico was down by two points against Greece just minutes before the buzzer—you barely scraped that win together if I do say so myself...

America-Italy
I’m calling it now: this is going to be a nail-biter, potentially headed into overtime. Both sides are going to fight tooth and nail for this one...

Of course they will,
they broadcast every single USA game.

I heard that over in Mexico, they only showed
one game, "Mexico-Russia."

They didn't broadcast the Mexico-Mexico game because they weren't filming the morning matches. Does anyone know which channel is carrying the coverage?

The US vs. Slovakia game wasn't on TV, not even on the morning news.

@Magor (or anyone else who might know 🙂)

Does anyone know which channel in Canada is showing the Canada-Germany game today?
I checked the schedules for M1, M2, ESPN, and Fox Sports, but none of them have it listed as live 😕. ESPN shows a replay at 10:45 PM (but they've got the USA-Italy game live at 9:00 PM), and M2 has some water polo scheduled from 8:55 PM to 10:10 PM.😕

By the way, for those watching from outside the US, our game is on the encrypted satellite channel HBO, but it’s free-to-air on NBC Sports.
