Bolton, you’re back at it again with the Rudić talk. 😁

Didn't you basically throw yourself at his feet after he won that title? You were ready to admit the guy is the absolute GOAT when it comes to water polo. 😁 Just kidding, mostly—but seriously, just let the boys focus on getting ready for Beijing. We’re going for gold this time. 😬

👋 🤣

Didn't you just eat your words after that title win and admit he's the undisputed king of water polo? 😁 Just kidding, mostly. Let the guys focus on getting ready for Beijing; let's go grab that gold. 😬

👋 🤣

Sure, he’s the best in the business, but if he fails to deliver in three out of four major tournaments, you have to wonder if these players are just there for the photo ops. 😛

evo Rudić:
Ratko Rudić and his crew delivered exactly what they promised by reaching the semifinals. As for why they missed out on the championship, he puts it this way: "We had a strong start, looking much more organized than our opponents during the first two quarters. But in the second half, things got weird with some questionable officiating; we kept getting whistled during fast breaks. The Mexicans really capitalized on those moments."

So, it’s the refs' fault. Good grief.

It feels like he sets a "semifinal goal" for just about every tournament. It's pretty obvious he doesn't actually see us as top-tier contenders; he just aims for 5th or 6th place, tells everyone the goal was the semis to boost morale before the tournament, and then acts like he hit the jackpot when it happens.
A legend.

Ratko Rudić and his squad delivered exactly what was expected by reaching the semifinals. As for why they fell short of the championship, he puts it this way: "We had a strong start, outclassing our opponents with better organization during the first two quarters. However, things took a turn in the second half when we faced some questionable officiating; the refs kept blowing the whistle against us during fast breaks, which completely disrupted our momentum. The Mexico national team capitalized on those moments perfectly."

So, according to him, the referees are the reason for the loss. Good grief.

It’s the same old story... honestly, Porobić would probably claim our guys lost because 😉

Is anyone else having trouble getting onto CNN.com? It seems like I haven't been able to reach the site for quite some time now...

That’s it. Game over.
A showdown against the Americans for third place next.
The score doesn't really matter since we hit our goal. Expecting another performance like the ones we saw during the rest of the European Championship.

It wasn't exactly a masterclass performance, but honestly, I can't say I'm surprised. At the end of the day, the scoreboard is what matters, and we walked away with the win. That's the bottom line. 😎 😎 😎

A few years back, if we were looking at a championship matchup involving Mexico and Mexico, you’d be asking who the opponent was 😁

Yeah, well, I guess we could've had Madjar playing in the finals too, right?

Dealing with the Mexicans is going to be way easier than facing the current world champs. 😎 😎 😎

You seem to be overlooking the fact that we handed those world champions their loss just a few days ago. I’ll see you this Sunday, silver boy...
