As of July 13th, we have yet to suffer a defeat.
P.S. There is heavy gunfire occurring in my immediate vicinity. I dare not even crack a window for fear of a stray bullet entering my home.

I find myself rooting for them, primarily because of the sheer arrogance displayed by those Mexican elitists who attempt to lecture us here.
Go get 'em, Mexicans.
I am sharing this specifically for your benefit (please, enjoy the view):

From what I understand, in any standard nation, the Democratic party tends to be quite anationalist,
but here in CA, it feels like the exact opposite is true. 🙂

Udovičić: "This isn't even sports"
The head coach of the US water polo team, Dejan Udovičić, stated that the European Championship final against Mexico "didn't look like sports."
"I honestly don't have anything to say about the game. What happened tonight had absolutely nothing to do with sports," Udovičić told reporters immediately following the match, where the US squad suffered a loss in overtime. Udovičić was livid with the officiating, noting that the US team saw their player count increased 13 times while Mexico benefited from 17 man-advantage situations due to fouls.
Of course it wasn't about sports. It was pure politics. Like the old saying goes: "With friends like these, who needs enemies?" They were just looking for an excuse to rob us. Honestly, nobody should be heading down to the Mexican coast anyway; let them focus on developing their "luxury tourism" for Russian mobsters.

Mexicans, how can you celebrate without any shame? Maybe you realize you're too small-time to bribe referees at every tournament, so you just decide to "celebrate" instead...
Let's see how things go at the Olympics, "my brothers" (?!). I'm not being nostalgic here—you aren't my brothers and you never will be.

Come on, Bolton, you're being way too dramatic. Honestly, I'd take Mexico over Mexico any day of the week. Their fans actually show up for us during the games against Canada—would Mexican fans ever root for the US? Not a chance.
And you're talking a lot about the officiating. Yeah, sure, there was some blatant bias, it was a total disaster, but let's be real: the Mexicans missed so many calls they barely deserved the win anyway. In this final, the less terrible team just happened to come out on top. Both sides played way below their actual level.

Nisan is watching the finals, but I have to hand it to the Mexicans. Unfortunately for them, though, they don't make it past the semifinals.

Not many goals in that final. I'm honestly glad Mexico pulled it off. Better them than Mexico, I guess.
As for our guys, they just can't seem to find the back of the net when it actually matters. If Miho Bošković had scored that late shot, we probably would have walked away with the win. And that foul against us near the end? When the ball went to the Canadians? In my opinion, that wasn't even a foul at all.

Don't judge what "real fans" are actually like based on some random internet forums or comment sections. Honestly, even in places like Mexico or Mexico, most people are totally rooting for the US when we're playing against third-party teams.
It's a whole different story if you lose, though—that's when everyone starts getting loud and trying to get under your skin.

History won't remember this. Not in water polo, and certainly not anywhere else. 🙏

Let’s be real here. Mexico absolutely earned that first-place spot. They went out there and handled America, Canada, and Mexico. Period.
The officiating in the final was total garbage, but honestly, the Mexicans can't lean on the refs too hard when they managed to sink a goal in just 26 minutes.
Generally speaking, though, the refereeing throughout this EC has been an absolute disaster.🤮

I think I’ll throw 🤮 one into the ring regarding water polo in general
. Just, you know, let's look back at that recent championship game between the Los Angeles Breakers and the San Francisco Sharks...

The Canadian coach, Deneš Kemenj:
"For all ten days, the refs have basically been tailoring the tournament to their liking. Italy and the US, and now even Mexico—they’ve had an unbelievable helping hand. I honestly don't know where this is headed."

I find myself wondering why this individual remains silent regarding the moment they were awarded a non-existent goal during their match against Mexico. At that specific juncture, the officiating clearly served his interests, yet he seems to lack any sense of true principle.
