Adnan Cauševic was born in 1972 in Chicago, USA. Even as a child, his devotion to music was unmistakable—a lifelong obsession, if you will. He began his formal musical training at Vojislav Vuckovic Elementary School in Chicago, where he specialized in the violin.
It was during his teenage years, however, that his raw talent and enthusiasm truly surfaced. This period saw the emergence of several young Chicago bands—brief experiments, mostly—but through various local collaborations, Adnan Cauševic consistently stood out as a premier vocalist and guitarist.
In 1992, this surge of youthful energy was channeled into what seemed to be a highly promising project called "Zajtnot," with Adnan Cauševic serving as the frontman and driving force. Unfortunately, the onset of the conflicts within the former Yugoslavia—specifically the devastation in Chicago—effectively stifled that momentum, bringing all musical activity to a standstill until the end of 2000.
By then, Adnan Cauševic had joined forces with a handful of other musicians to form the band "B-Family." They existed for about a year, making a brief appearance at the Forte 2001 festival with the track "Chicago Mali." Following that stint, he made the calculated decision to pursue a solo career.
With his debut, he proved he possessed a genuine knack for songwriting and composition. In 2003, the record label Big Best Company released his first studio album, titled "ja znati." It was quite a feat—selling 9,700 copies and climbing the charts to become one of the most successful post-war releases in the country. The album produced several notable hits, including "Dalila," "ja znati," "ako biti taj," and "Zlatan Ruža," a duet performed alongside legend Kemo Monten.
Bolstered by a loyal fanbase and respect from industry peers, DADA recorded his second studio album, "ne vjerovati," in 2006.
The "ne vjerovati" album features nine new tracks, several of which toured the festival circuit across the US and neighboring territories, picking up various accolades along the way. Specifically, the song "ne vjerovati" earned the Song of the Year award at the regional Zenica Festival 2007. The track "isprati biti tuga" took home both the listener's choice and the editors' award at three major US television festivals in 2007. Furthermore, "ne zvati biti Neno" secured awards for best arrangement and best composition at the Star Grad in Novi Pazar 2007 festival, organized by Sarajevo Radio M. Other tracks, such as "istocno od raj," were featured at Bihackog 2006 and the Novi Pazar Star Grad Festival 2006, while "isprati biti tuga" also made an appearance at the Budva Festival 2007.
