No, the title is accurate... I've been dealing with this persistent pain at the top of my head for a full week now.
And it happens during the day too... I've also been struggling with some urinary issues—I actually had an infection recently that required medical drainage. It seems to flare up on a cycle every month or so, and honestly, the pain is driving me insane. There's no redness or visible changes to the scalp itself, but I'm hitting the bathroom every thirty minutes, and the moment I drink any water, I’m running straight back to the toilet.
🤷

Michelle Bishop81 As stated by:
I suppose one might consider making an appointment with a dentist.🙄

I’ve always prided myself on avoiding unnecessary trips to the doctor, yet it appears I am finally being forced to concede the point. 😢

Look, you don't need to run to the doctor for every little thing—I'm not saying you should be paranoid—but what you’re describing sounds pretty serious, so it'd be smart to get checked out. Especially since you mentioned you've been having issues with that... area before.

Neglecting an infection can lead to devastating consequences. Eventually, you'll find yourself wishing you could turn back the clock to undo your mistakes.
I find it truly staggering how many people are willing to be so incredibly reckless when it comes to their own health.

I’ve been providing urine samples, but they haven't turned up anything conclusive yet...
I mentioned it to my parents, and they just dismissed it as some minor cold or seasonal bug.
The problem is, my father isn't exactly convinced by that explanation.
It might actually stem from my diet, considering I consume far too much acid—specifically, I drink Coca-Cola on a daily basis.
Which general practitioner or specialist should I actually go see for a proper checkup?

The community has already provided you with those answers—you could consult either a dermatologist or a urologist. However, rather than seeking guidance from us, why not simply ask your primary care physician to provide a referral? That is precisely what they are trained to do.

Urethral swab...
Look, you could be sitting on chlamydia for a long time without even knowing it, and honestly, getting a swab is the only way to stop guessing and actually know what's going on...
Chlamydia basically wreaks havoc by causing infections in your urethra right near the tip, leading to that constant urge to pee, prostate issues—like a weak or shaky stream—and if you let it sit, things can get way more serious than just an annoyance...
Your primary care doctor can easily hook you up with a referral for a swab at a local public health clinic (just check their schedule, because some specialized clinics only see men on Tuesdays and Thursdays)...

I was wondering about the specific procedure for how they perform a swab on men...
Surely they don't just go through the urethra, right?!

Nah, you're overthinking it—you'll easily clear 2-4 cm
honestly, that's a solid win for you 😁

It’s entirely possible you’re dealing with chlamydia or some other persistent issue, and getting a swab is really the only foolproof way to get a definitive answer...
Chlamydia can cause inflammation in your urinary tract right near the tip, leading to frequent urges to pee or prostate complications like an interrupted or weak stream, and things could certainly escalate if you don't address it...
Your primary care physician can easily write you a referral for testing at the local CDC clinic (they typically see men on Tuesdays and Thursdays)...

I don't have chlamydia—I haven't seen any symptoms of that yet.
The initial issues passed, but now I'm stuck having to run to the bathroom constantly, basically every forty minutes. 😲
Next time this happens, I am heading straight to the doctor. IMMEDIATELY.
It seems to flare up every few months, and it's even more frequent during the winter...
🤷

Well, I did notice the very tip was quite red for a bit, but it looks back to normal now... 🤷
