Fine, whatever—he can just have a little sugar in the morning and call it a day. 😁 Better than hitting it at night.

What on earth does Nesquik have to do with protein? (Personally, I’d much rather just face the consequences of eating two massive scoops of Nutella first thing in the morning🤣) And please, spare me the argument that one should drink cocoa just for the sake of the vitamins and minerals.

The conversation here is really about having coffee on an empty stomach before a morning workout. You want to steer clear of any sugar there, because that insulin spike basically puts the brakes on your body's ability to burn fat.

No, I meant that I drink it as a substitute for coffee; while it's certainly true that there are more vitamins and minerals present in the cocoa than in a cup of coffee,😁 the added sugar means it isn't exactly a health food either.🙄

Just grab a sugar-free Red Bull then. It’s basically a liquid caffeine bomb anyway...

Red Bull is an overpriced gimmick; I'd much rather grab a Red Kick or something similar, which I believe has about six times the punch of a standard Red Bull if my memory serves me correctly...
Besides, what is the issue with coffee? It's cheap, and a decent cup actually provides more caffeine than a Red Bull does. If someone truly can't stomach coffee, they could always just opt for caffeine pills.
