Faulty LCD or loose flex cable?

Looking at this photo, can you tell if I’m dealing with a faulty LCD or just a bad flex cable? Since it’s a slider phone, my money is on the flex cable. However, that specific spot where the screen goes dark looks like actual LCD damage, even though there's no visible impact.

Wrong subforum. My take? It’s both. You can clearly see the physical damage to the screen in the corner.

It looked like physical damage in the photo too, but there wasn't actually any crushing or impact involved. I'll check again with the screen off to see how it looks.

An LCD failure? That definitely counts as an "IT issue." A smartphone is just as much a computer as anything else.
