How much can you actually trust people online?

Ever actually met someone from the internet? Like, gone as far as being in an actual relationship? And more importantly, can you even trust them? Honestly, I don't buy it. I think these internet freaks can't truly see how special you are as long as they've still got a bunch of unexplored virtual options out there... Or maybe, just maybe, someone finally found exactly what they were looking for online and decided the hunt was over.

It all just seems to be a roll of the dice. It’s the same in real life—you might stumble upon the love of your life, or you might just end up with an idiot. But my advice? Don't go trusting anyone completely right out of the gate. If they seem decent, push to meet up in person first. Personally, I've only ever met people from this forum, and honestly, everyone has turned out to be perfectly normal.😁

Personally, I find those online entities asking for my credit card details just so they can deposit $1,000,000 into my account to be the most trustworthy...😬
I always provide them with the number immediately.👍

and honestly, I’ve met quite a few people through the internet 🥳 my experiences have been more or less fine...

but you might be looking in the wrong place for an answer to that 😁 plenty of people actually meet in real life on this forum 🥳

I actually met one of my absolute best friends online—and as an awesome little bonus, I ended up becoming close friends with his sister, too. But then, of course, you also run into a massive crowd of total idiots along the way. It really just goes to show that the internet is exactly like real life... everything just depends on who you happen to cross paths with...

It’s a bit difficult to put into words 😁—it’s both true and not quite...

They are, because I’ve actually seen photos of them and everything...
But they aren't, because your mind builds its own version of someone, and when you finally see them in person, reality rarely matches the mental image...

They really are😉

That’s why my advice is simple—never lie. You never truly know how much someone is going to mean to you down the road, and then you look back realizing you lied to someone who became incredibly important to you😉

I know a few people from Reddit... absolute lunatics, I’m telling you... total LUNATICS ☕

And here I was, thinking I was the exception to the rule. 😁 To be honest, I met my partner online too, though we eventually had a proper introduction through a mutual friend who went to elementary school with him and high school with me. All in all, it was absolutely worth it. 😍😍😍
I’ve actually developed some genuine affection for certain people here on Reddit—folks like malena_1309, Daisy, and even the Mafia. Even if our paths never cross in the real world, I truly value having them in my life like this. 🙂

I tend to steer clear of getting too deep into anyone's business through a screen.

Most of the time, you pretty much know what someone is about within the first few seconds of actually standing in front of them. You can't replicate that feeling with some long-term digital friendship, no matter how much you chat online.
