Comcast says I need to upgrade my router

Anyone else get a notice in the mail saying a new router is arriving in two weeks and I have to send my old one back to AT&T?
Does anyone actually know what's going on here? They didn't specify which model they're sending. I don't really see the point in swapping out hardware if my current setup isn't broken.

To be perfectly honest, I find myself even more satisfied with the new one.
