Here is my question... for those who have dealt with mental health struggles or neurological issues... is there any way these things show up during a standard eye exam or through routine blood work?
I am asking because I have been dealing with this persistent brain fog for months now... yet my recent tests all came back perfectly normal.

Get an EEG, a CT, maybe even an MRI...
Honestly, those will tell you way more about what's actually going on than some eye exam or basic blood work ever could...
..because my labs all came back totally fine, too—but those specific scans were the only things that actually caught my epilepsy...

How long did that last for you? Honestly, I’m starting to think my experience is entirely psychological... because there are days when I actually feel fine. Was it just that strange sensation in your head? Because everything else feels perfectly normal to me.

Oh gosh, don't panic... it doesn't mean you have epilepsy too. I was really just trying to suggest getting some other tests done, just to be safe..

I don't know... I'm just asking which symptoms you actually experienced...

fainted 😬
that's really it.
my blood work came back totally fine—I've never even had a headache in my life, and the eye doctor said everything looks perfect...
but now there's an EEG and a CT scan on the table.. 😲😲

I don't know... things just feel foggy to me... and this has been dragging on for almost six months now... I suspect if it were epilepsy, things would have taken a turn for the worse by now.

It’s probably not an epi for sure.
But if it’s really stressing you out—and I get why—just ask your doctor for some referrals for other tests..

Is your blood pressure okay, though? I'm feeling pretty rough today—dizzy, vision's all fuzzy, and my BP is sitting at 88/57. This heatwave is absolutely killing me.

That blood pressure is quite low.
Stay hydrated, increase your salt intake slightly—but don't overdo it—and keep moving.
If you're living in an apartment complex, take the stairs instead of the elevator...
Eat well and have a glass of red wine. 😛

Ugh, if there is one thing I truly despise, it is these constant shifts in the weather, especially since my body handles them so poorly.😲>

drink more water, eat a bit more salt (don't go overboard), and get moving.

eat clean and maybe have a glass of red wine😛

I can handle pretty much anything else, but this workout stuff? Not so much😉, ugh. I actually took today off just to try and clear my head, but clearly, I’m useless without my laptop stuck to me.

I’m not so sure... I doubt it's a matter of timing since this happens far too often... at least in my experience

Give me a definition of "too often" 😁. At this rate, we're all going to end up obsessing over the weather forecast like it's our full-time job.

It’s been going on for six months now.... there are outages over there lasting a full week at a time, too... and I usually feel significantly worse after going out on a Saturday night.

Maybe it's just a hangover. Ever thought about cutting back?

Jokes aside, though—could it be because you're hanging out in smoky, stuffy places with zero airflow?

Don't be scared, but seriously, go get a more thorough checkup, trust me on this... it’ll just give you some peace of mind. Let me know how it goes, and if you need any recommendations, I can probably point you toward a few solid doctors in the area. But anyway, to answer your question—I went through some pretty heavy health issues myself, and neither my blood work nor my eye exams showed a single thing. It wasn't until I developed facial nerve palsy that they finally caught what was actually going on with me. And honestly, having your vision get blurry from time to time isn't out of the question either. My best friend's mom is a nurse, and she always says that sometimes things just happen without any warning at all... you just have to deal with it.😛

I was just wondering if you've noticed any actual shifts lately, because I’m dealing with this exact same set of symptoms myself. I’ve already started falling down those endless internet rabbit holes trying to find answers, but I’d love to know if there's been any movement or change on your end.
