For the last couple of months, I’ve been getting these constant security alerts from Meta whenever I try to log in. It kept saying someone was trying to access my account from an unrecognized device and prompting me to change my password. I actually ended up changing it two or three times in a single day just to be safe.
Then yesterday, everything went sideways. I tried to log into Meta, but the most recent password I set wouldn't work. I attempted to recover the account using my email and phone number, but I got a message saying that neither the email nor the phone number were even in their system.
I managed to find my profile through a search and tried to add an alternative email address—my actual, real email—but then I got a notification saying an activation code would be sent to a specific address. The hint they gave (showing just the first and last letter with asterisks in between) doesn't match any email address I have ever used in my life.
At that point, they asked me to upload a photo of an ID that shows my picture, date of birth, and name. I tried uploading an old transit pass since it had the necessary info, and even an old ID card, but I just received a notice saying they couldn't verify my identity to grant access. I even went as far as photographing my driver's license, making sure to black out everything except the required details—even though it's under my married name, which matches the name I actually have on my Meta profile—but still, no luck.
I’ve sent several emails to support, though I honestly don't know how realistic it is to expect a response or any actual help at this stage. I sent one just yesterday and haven't heard a word back.
To make matters worse, my email inbox has at least two separate notifications from Meta stating that someone attempted to log into my account. They even provided the IP addresses, the devices used, and the locations where the attempts happened—two different cities and two completely different devices.

Does anyone know if there is any hope left, or is there some way to actually get my profile back?

Did you manage to get that issue sorted out? And if you did... how exactly did you pull it off? 😳 🍿
