Look, I'm not being unrealistic. I have a three-and-a-half-year-old son who was conceived right when I was unemployed and our finances were basically non-existent. But we had one major thing in common: we wanted a kid.
I laid out a bunch of factors above that mean different things to different people: for some, it's just a simple yes or no, while others need something else entirely... everyone has their own definition of what "the right time" or "being ready" actually looks like.
