I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with them, but they always seem to hit the spot during the summer...
Nothing beats playing a band like this when you're sweating through a heatwave near the coast, or just cranking the AC...

I've been listening to Hypersonic on repeat lately and it's honestly great...

Critics would probably argue that only hipsters or people trying way too hard to look cool would admit to liking the Peppers 😬 😈

They kind of give off those Red Hot Chili Peppers vibes, if you're feeling it... but the vocals are totally different. They feel lighter, more like a summer thing.
The Peppers definitely have the better guitarist, but Jane's Addiction has that gritty singer.

Just sitting here listening to Perry Farrell and his solo record, song Yet to be Sung... what an absolute nutcase 😎.

I am absolutely obsessed with this Kettle Whistle compilation—it’s got live tracks, demos, and all sorts of random gems. Right now, I'm just trying to get everything organized... 😁

It’s summer in the city... after Hypersonic, I'm thinking John Frusciante, maybe some summer blues... shadows collide with people... but if the traffic jams depress me too much, I'll just put on some Porno for Pyros or something instead.

I heard Been Caught Stealing at a concert yesterday. It’s such a great track, but honestly, much like The Breeders, I suspect they might just be a one-hit wonder.

Been Caught Stealing🙂 is such an incredible track for dancing.
It’s just pure energy. That bassline is insane, and I really love that gritty vocal style.

but the cool part is a band from, say, the late 80s putting out an album as fresh as Hypersonic did back in 2003 without sounding dated.
then they just break up again for the millionth time...🤣
and yeah, Perica isn't overcompensating on this record anymore, he actually sounds great. he finally grew up a bit.

it really reminds me of faca no more... honestly, everything I hated about faca no more, I actually dig about them... it's like... there's a hint of that pathos in the background. but on Hypersonic, it feels more immediate, more natural, and just better! 👍
