How do I upload images to the forum?

Is there any way to stop this forum from drowning me in massive images? I’m trying to post, but the pictures are huge—like, full-size massive—and they just stretch out forever alongside my text instead of being tiny thumbnails. It makes everything look like a cluttered mess.

The bottom line:
Just dump them onto an image hosting site—there are a million of them out there—and then you just use that little IMG code they give you after the upload is done. It’s not rocket science.
