I’m experiencing some really strange episodes, and I honestly can't tell if they're being triggered by stress or if there's an actual underlying illness... the symptoms don't all hit at once; they seem to happen in isolation.

For a while now, I've been feeling pain in my left shoulder and neck, which sometimes radiates into my left ear and part of my head. It isn't intense, but it’s definitely uncomfortable.

Then there are these muscle twitches all over my body—they usually last less than a minute, but they're incredibly unsettling and worrying (especially the twitching around my eye and lower lip).

What worries me most, though, is a sense of weakness on the left side of my body (my left arm and leg). I can still perform all my daily tasks normally, but I can definitely feel a difference compared to my right side.

On top of that, there's a tremor, occasional mild nausea, strange noises in my head and neck when I move, weird sounds in my ear when I move my jaw, tingling in my legs, intermittent pain in my left arm, vision issues, eye fatigue, and photophobia.

Could these issues be related to something in my brain, or perhaps my spine? My appointment with a neurologist isn't for another month and a half since I can't get in any sooner, so if anyone has dealt with similar symptoms or has any experience, please reach out. I'm at a loss and honestly terrified. I'm only 21.

I don't know how much this will actually help, but just give it a shot. Find the symptoms you're dealing with and maybe you'll get some idea about what kind of illness you might be facing.

Unfortunately, you're right about that.
Searching for symptoms online won't help you at all—you'll just end up finding five hundred different scary diseases and stressing yourself out!
Your best bet is if you can swing $300-$$167 to see a private specialist and skip that long waiting list.

Look, what you're feeling—that whole mess of symptoms—could just be straight-up chronic stress and burnout, but honestly? It could also be something much more serious. My advice is to rule out the scary stuff first. Just go see a neurologist—even if you have to pay out of pocket for the appointment—so you actually know what you're dealing with. If you can get a clean bill of health and confirm there’s no underlying illness, then managing the fatigue and tension becomes a whole lot easier to wrap your head around.
