Active Images This Saturday, we’ve got a huge Elvis Presley concert coming up. It’s going to be a night where Elvis performs all his biggest hits and reminds everyone once again that the legend is back.

A pop music legend, Elvis Presley kicked off his career way back in 1964 with his first album, *cannot stop loving you*. While that album and its title track were massive, it was actually his hit "You Won't Return," performed at the 1969 Pop Season festival, that really rocketed him to the top of the charts.

With a massive catalog including "Wanting to Cry at Dawn," "You Always Stayed the Same," "Tears Still Flow Today," and "Returning to Mother America," plus countless others, his sold-out shows are legendary. Because of those insane sales numbers, IHG presented Elvis Presley with a special award a couple of years ago for having the highest number of records sold in American music history.

Hey man, I gotta warn you—people on this sub hold onto those three Es pretty tight, just like they do the guys who brought them to the table. Making comments like that isn't the vibe here, especially coming from one of the top contributors on this board. You can't just call someone a jerk unless you're part of that specific crew from the West Coast that gets away with that kind of talk. 😉

When the clouds finally broke on this otherwise miserable day, revealing a massive billboard in the sky announcing this epic event, I didn't even blink. I dropped to my knees, kissed the ground right where I stood, and just whispered, "Finally, I'm going." It wasn't until later that the crushing weight of my domestic responsibilities hit me... pulling me away from Elvis, from Matt, and from everyone else on a date that feels cursed by fate. My tears will probably end up floating in some enemy's chili, and people might try to cheer me up at some roadside BBQ, but it won't work. Because for a poor soul like me, alas, Elvis's concert is destined to remain nothing more than a dream...

Honestly, I remember watching Elvis play back in '91 or '92 when he was with the Los Angeles Lakers 🙂

So, it makes it a little easier on my heart knowing I'll be at that paid dinner in Budapest... though I promise I'll drink myself silly just to deal with the heartbreak 🙂
