So, here’s the situation: I’ve been dealing with this intense itching for about a year and a half now.
It all started with just my right groin, but then it spread to the left side, moved down to my lower abdomen, and now it’s even hitting my backside.!

The itching gets so unbearable that I end up scratching until it actually starts hurting, which eventually leaves these bloody scabs behind.

To give you an idea of how bad this is—I scratched my rear so aggressively today that I can barely even sit down because of the pain.

What should my next move be? Should I try to book an appointment with a private dermatologist or just head to my regular family doctor?

Or does anyone happen to know of a specific ointment I could use to soothe this?
What do you think this could be?

Just to clarify, hygiene isn't the issue here; I make sure to shower every single day.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good grief. You’ve been putting up with this for over a year and you still haven't gone see a doctor??? 😲 😲

Nothing unusual here. You should probably head to the doctor; they'll likely prescribe some antibiotics. While streptomycin can be quite effective in these cases, you'll most likely be given something more modern nowadays.

So, what kind of illness are we even talking about here?

What kind of underwear are we talking about here? It needs to be 100% cotton and loose enough to let you breathe. You should also take a hard look at your detergent and fabric softener—it’s highly likely you’re dealing with an allergic reaction to one of those chemicals.

Relax, it's not the end of the world.

Sorry, but isn't your little "medical lecture" on antibiotics a bit hit-or-miss?🤔
What are the odds that someone carries around a bacterial infection for an entire year without it spiraling into something significantly more dangerous?😎
