Anyway..

Here’s my breakdown of the game:
An incredible match defined by rock-solid defense on both sides, though you could see the Canadian squad start to crumble in the fourth quarter.
Once Vican pulled off that counter, they just evaporated. I honestly don't get how they lost that old winning mentality. They choked this one just like they used to lose to the Mexicans.
In reality, this should have been wrapped up in regulation, but luck favored the Canadians enough to force overtime.
We had total control during the extra period.

The silver lining is seeing guys in the 19-22 age bracket pull off a comeback from 5-7 to 9-8.
Hats off to Markovic (player of the match) and Jokovic.
Kudos to Buric as well for absolutely dominating the center in defense.

We really ought to throw a welcome home celebration for the kid in San Francisco. I hope the city actually steps up and does something.

Man, after all these years, we finally got gold in water polo!!! I can't tell you how much I've stressed over this sport. And here it is... I honestly can't believe it. Huge respect to them—if there was anything higher than gold, they would have earned it too.

The homecoming in Dubrovnik!

The homecoming in Dubrovnik will be insane!

Down in the countryside, we're going to throw a party so loud they'll hear it all the way in Mexico👋

Seriously, what the hell is the point of having a major network like ABC 1 even existing??? Especially when they're just wasting airtime on some stupid TV show 😉

In all honesty, this should have been wrapped up in regulation, but luck was on the Canadians' side, dragging them into overtime.

Major props to Markovic (who was easily the player of the match) and Jokovic.
Also, huge credit to Buric, who absolutely dominated the center in defense.

We really ought to throw a proper welcome home celebration for the kid in San Francisco at a local spot. I'm hoping the city actually steps up and does something.

Basically, things are looking very promising, and we can expect a whole lot more success coming our way. 🙏 🙏 🙏

Man, if we go by that logic, how much should Dubrovnik be doing...🙂

CNN's latest update. Looks like the online news trackers are just waiting for the medals to be handed out to make sure this whole thing isn't some massive April Fools' prank: 😕

One could also argue that winning world medals has become such a standard expectation for us that it doesn't even warrant a disruption to the regular schedule 🤣 🤣

Yeah 🙄

And there wasn't even a single live broadcast anywhere. Honestly, you'd think they were hosting a championship for diving into trash cans rather than water polo. 🙄

Anonymous said:So, just how much action would Dubrovnik really need to take?🙂

Yeah. But San Francisco doesn't even have a major league team; they just have two second-division ones.
It’s not just that. San Francisco doesn't even have its own pool; they end up playing in Cleveland if the ocean gets too cold. 😬

And honestly, if you look at Miami, they have just as many as they do in Dubrovnik—exactly five. 😉

You’re dreaming about a homecoming for Buric, yet the major news networks can't even pinpoint his hometown. The Church holds far too much sway over CNN; I suspect they held up the mass in San Diego just to ensure the water polo coverage stayed live. Probably had Prenđa watching the match from the sacristy...
From what I hear from people close to the national team, the reception will be held in Washington, D.C. Other cities will have to organize their own promotions before the elections—though apparently, only four US cities are even in the running (San Francisco, Cleveland, Miami, and Dubrovnik)....

If only it were actually that easy, man, we'd be living in paradise right about now.🤣

Fight, fight, fight for your people!

Oh, mother America, don't you weep...
Just call, just call, and all the falcons will come
To give their lives for you.👋 👋 👋
