Why am I showing up as invisible when I'm logged in?

When I'm browsing the forum without being logged in, all the avatars show up just fine. But the second I sign in, my own avatar—and everyone else's—completely disappears. Any idea how I can fix this?

Settings -> Edit settings -> Display Settings - check if you have the box checked next to show avatars
