I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with this—like, what kind of price tag are we actually looking at...

It’s going to run you a fortune. Honestly, your best bet is to go scouting through some private plastic surgeons' websites. My gut tells me you're looking at two or three separate procedures before it actually looks decent. I've also heard that certain laser removal methods yield the most impressive results.
What made you decide to ditch the ink? What did you get done?

I’m guessing you’d probably need two or three different procedures to actually get a result you’re happy with. I’ve heard there are laser removal methods out there that supposedly give the best results.
So, what made you over it? What did you get done?

I'm just totally over them—or, to be more precise, I'm over the whole vibe. I have several, and they aren't in places where everyone sees them, but it just doesn't feel special anymore when it seems like practically everyone in the States has tattoos these days...

So, roughly how much are we talking about here?

So, what are we looking at in terms of cost?

Check out this link. I went there to get a mole removed and the place was incredible. Give them a call and ask about pricing. It’s going to fluctuate depending on the type of tattoo, how big it is, and what kind of removal technique they use... Honestly, your best bet is to just ring them up. From what I gather, getting a tattoo removed is way more expensive than actually getting one done in the first place.

Does it really matter if everyone else is doing it these days? I don't see how what everybody else chooses to do has anything to do with you personally. To me, it feels like people just rush out and get tattoos without thinking about them for more than a few years, whereas I believe you should really sit with the idea for a long time. I mean, what's even the point of following the crowd? I heard there's a clinic over on Sunset Boulevard that handles removals, but honestly, I'm a bit worried about what the end result might actually look like...

It really just depends on the method you choose😉 and what your expectations are, right?

If you're looking at dermabrasion roughly speaking around the tattoo area (let's say a 2x2 inch patch)
you're looking at $1,000-$1000 depending on which clinic you hit up.

Just a heads-up though: expecting the tattoo to vanish completely and for your skin to look totally "normal" again is honestly not realistic 😉 so maybe give it some serious thought before you commit to removal. 😉

Svakak is way, way more expensive than getting the actual tattoo in the first place.🙄

I have a tattooed ring, and when I actually got it done, some guy told me that tattoos in that area never truly fade away. He claimed once it's under the skin down there, it stays put forever, eventually leaving nothing behind but an ugly scar... Well, good luck with that, I suppose.

It’s definitely not going anywhere. That's exactly why you really need to think twice about whether you want to go with some random butterfly or something that actually represents who you are...

I got a tattoo lasered off years ago. Honestly? It was super painful and definitely not cheap.

My sister actually went through with getting two small tattoos removed—they were only about 2x2 inches right here using $1333dermabrasion. She’s honestly pretty happy with how it turned out! She totally braced herself for the fact that the skin there will never look 100% perfect again, so she didn't stress too much about the texture, though her reasons for doing it were a bit different from yours..

My tattoo was tiny too, but my skin turned out totally fine—it’s like there was never even a tattoo there!

I mean, she doesn't even have a massive scar or anything wild like that. It’s just a super subtle difference in texture and color compared to the rest of her skin. Plus, since it's in such a hidden spot, it really doesn't cause any issues or make anyone feel self-conscious at all!

Not me—my skin is doing just fine! I only phrased it that way so she could decide which route to take for removing the tattoo. Laser is definitely going to cost more, but the results are absolutely flawless. Plus, it’s a little reality check for those people posting above saying it’s impossible to get rid of a tattoo 🙂

And, of course, this is for all those people in the threads above claiming it's impossible to get a tattoo removed at all. 🙂

Thanks so much, but seriously, tell me how much it cost and where you went? Because I keep hearing about places doing this in beauty salons with lasers???????????????? That sounds incredibly sketchy to me!

Look, I actually have something that defines me—it's not some stupid butterfly, dolphin, or rose, for that matter—but honestly, I've grown bored of it. It isn't some life-defining thing that I feel forced to strip away just because I'm over it.
