I would’ve been there too if I hadn't come down with this illness

But I have to admit, listening to the album didn't exactly make me a huge fan of 🙂

To be honest, I have a feeling that sitting down to listen to this band's studio albums wouldn't exactly blow me away, but man, that live show was absolutely incredible 😍

That’s why I didn't even bother checking them out beforehand.

I’m just happy. That was easily the best concert I’ve seen in the last month and a half 🙂

To me felt pretty much the same as the record. They were solid—never got boring on me, but they didn't exactly blow my mind either. It was all nice enough, but man, they just lacked those standout tracks.
They seriously need to throw a Bob Dylan cover into the setlist immediately; that’s basically a cheat code for any band's career.
If they had just crushed a version of Blowin' in the Wind or maybe The Book of Genesis, I bet the show would've looked way better in my eyes.
I mean, honestly, what's the point of a band that doesn't play anything by Bob Dylan? 🙂

It was definitely an improvement over the first time, though I wasn't exactly blown away by those little accordion and acoustic setups. Honestly, why not just crank up the distortion and let it rip?

Wow, what an incredible band bio... really brightens your day. Their sound is pure ear candy. Honestly, the rhythm section is what really grabbed me...

Haha, quite the sight when they were leaving... a long line of cars parked along the riverbank, and every single one had a flyer tucked under the wiper. Something like 'Eminem' or whatever. Skimmed through it before hitting the sack 🥱

I have a book here called Franz Ferdinand—it's about much more than just sex, drugs, and violence. Based on how the crowd reacted at the Madison Square Garden show, though, they were mostly just looking for a little more cheese.

...but hey, those sandwiches were actually pretty solid!😬

The concert was just... okay.

Here’s my band’s bio from back when they were just an opening act.

Nice guys...

Prof.

Too late. I’m already too far gone. Though in the final chapter, they use this sharp, clever example to show it’s never actually too late. Did you make it out? 😬

Yeah, I was out of it, but it wasn't because I was bored... just had one too many drinks the night before and didn't get nearly enough sleep because of it... 😁

It’s a bit late for me; I’ve already gone under. Though, if the final chapter is anything to go by, they use a rather witty and lucid example to suggest it’s never truly too late. Did you manage to make it out? 😬

I happen to be reading Jean Plaid's "I Was a Thug" right now, and it's certainly giving me some perspective on why I should steer clear of the skinhead scene. 😬

The guy's an amateur. If he had any clue, he would've realized there wasn't even any green onions in that burrito. It was just Swiss chard.😳 😳 😳

Anyway, personally, I prefer less cheese. And honestly, I'd rather hear more Brother Sister than all that AB Life and Foxes stuff. But since their veteran bassist stepped in right before the tour started—because the new guy broke his arm—it actually turned out pretty decent.

Hallelujah.

And people were actually out here arguing about whether Chicago had won—claiming it was all about the chard and whatever else. 😁

Prices are still too high, and honestly, this was enough of my weekly charity, considering how much I usually can't stand people😳 😳 😳

I didn't even notice this little booklet tucked under my windshield wipers for the first few minutes. I only realized what was actually happening once I hit the interstate... Once it clicked, I didn't want to pull over right then and there. I figured if it could survive a high-speed highway run to Newtown, it deserved to be picked up.

It actually made it, too. It’s sitting right here on my desk. Honestly, props to whoever wedged it there—the wind didn't even budge it. And you have to hand it to the designers of this Toyota, being able to cruise at 85 mph on the freeway with a booklet stuck to the wipers without it flying off into traffic... 🙏

Or maybe this is just some kind of sign from Jesus? 😬

Quote from the back

Our whole crew was pretty wild. Franz freak and friends, that criminal addict, was one of our absolute idols

Personally, I'm thinking this is actually just the biography of Franz Ferdinand. Honestly, wasn't this the stuff the band used to blast out of their cars?

Are these Christians really the best kind of people? 😍 They’re definitely the go-to choice for home. 😍
The music itself was actually pretty decent. 👍
And a quick :2up: for that whole MySpace emo crowd that tried way too hard to be funny during the quiet parts—honestly, they should just shut up. 😠

Even though they were playing for barely an hour, it wasn't boring or anything—but then again, I can't really recall any specific songs, which probably means they felt a little bit soulless, I guess.

Just grabbed some quick takeout after the show 👍
