Power metal has always been my absolute favorite subgenre within the metal world😁..these guys are actually quite solid,,,it's just that when you catch them live, the vocals tend to fall a bit short😁

Hmm, not really. The vocals are fine, it's everything else that's a mess. Especially the guitarists...

Dforce is pure extreme power metal... I honestly don't know what there is to criticize about the guitarists; the vocals are just overwhelming, easily some of the most powerful voices in the entire metal scene.

Is Slash actually skilled and fast? Look, I’m not saying the guy doesn't know his stuff, but he can't quite nail even half of those solos from the tracks. I mean, did anyone catch him playing Through the Fire and Flames live at Pinkpop? He barely hit every tenth note of that solo, and by the end, he was just fumbling through some half-hearted sweeps with that pedal... though, I suppose I've heard rumors they've tightened things up quite a bit during their more recent tours. As for you claiming the vocals drown everything else out—it’s pretty obvious you haven't listened to anything besides DragonForce.

They aren't necessarily bad, but they try way too hard on songs that are clearly out of their league, all while acting like they've actually mastered them...

There are plenty of singers in the power metal scene who are much better than this dragon-themed nonsense...

The primary issue with that vocalist is quite simple: the man fundamentally cannot sing. His breathing technique is completely broken.

I mean, there’s plenty of stuff that’s way faster, especially when you listen to New Breed

Maybe Power is technically the fastest on average... 🤷

I’m not necessarily saying that the Dream Theater vocalist is the absolute best out there, but I truly believe that power metal vocalists are in a league of their own. For me personally, nobody beats Michael Kiske and Timo Kotipelto.

I just finished listening to their latest album—it actually snagged something like a 4.5 out of 5 on AllMusic, which is why I decided to dive in 😬—and honestly? They aren't half bad at all!

My spirit will carry on.
For me, this stands as their absolute best work.🙂

If DragonForce were playing my local club, they’d definitely walk away with the award for the worst power metal band ever—period. And don't even get me started on their guitarist, Slash... just go watch some clips of them on YouTube. The guy hits every other string by mistake.

It feels like they're attempting something way beyond their technical reach, though I have to admit their drummer is actually quite solid

As far as the music goes, I’m feeling it, but the lyrics are honestly pretty garbage because they all sound exactly the same... I mean, they used the word VALLEY like a million times.

The lyrics are truly the only thing worth noting here 😁
