Since I can't really get out for my usual runs or aerobics classes this winter, I'm stuck trying to make use of my stationary bike, which honestly has mostly just been acting as a glorified laundry rack until now.
It’s not even about the weight for me, I just really want to tone up and smooth everything out...
Can anyone tell me which muscle groups I'll actually be hitting the hardest on a bike like this, and specifically if it's going to help shape my glutes?
What kind of speed should I be aiming for, and how much resistance should I set it to?
Also, would riding it standing up give me a better workout for my butt, or is that even worth the effort?

Weight isn't even my thing, honestly. I just really wish I could tone up a bit and finally kick this cellulite to the curb!
Anyone know which part of the body this is for? Bikes are honestly the way to go. Most efficient thing ever!Does it actually work for the glutes though?
What speed should I run it at? And what kind of load am I looking at?
Does riding a stationary bike actually hit the glutes better? Like, is it worth it for my butt?

Just some basic home bike. Simple setup.😬
Come on girl, get it together!
I'm not the type to go around trashing people online, but man, this stuff is just straight-up horrific.
Just like this car...😬

People always say "bike" or "bicycle," never whatever weird version they try to use! 😉))

1. Well, primarily your legs, right?
2. Yes, it definitely works those muscles.
3. As for intensity, a good rule of thumb is to choose a resistance level where you can still hold a conversation, but you wouldn't be able to sing a song. To keep things interesting, try incorporating some intervals—alternating between heavy resistance at a lower cadence and lighter resistance at a higher cadence. Or, you could push yourself at a medium resistance for two or three minutes, followed by a minute of recovery, and just go from there based on how you feel.
4. One thing to consider is whether you have a high-quality stationary bike or a decent road bike. If the equipment isn't great, you might not see a massive difference in muscle shaping, though you will certainly see an increase in your heart rate due to the added strain.
